Martin J. Briesach
Martin Briesach has more than 31 years of experience in the securities industry.Mr. Briesach was Corporate Vice President of Fixed-Income Sales and Trading at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. During his 17 years at Schwab, Mr. Briesach worked closely with high net-worth clients, helping them develop income strategies, as well as assisting clients looking to mitigate the risk associated with concentrated equity positions. Mr. Briesach was also the Director of Structured Products for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
Mr. Briesach completed some courses in the CFP Certificate Intro Program at UC Berkeley, while working with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. Mr. Briesach is not a CFP at this time, Mr. Briesach holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Green & Sustainable Energy.
Mr. Briesach lives in La Quinta California with his wife Judy. They enjoy playing tennis, pickle-ball, cooking, and golf. Martin’s son and daughter have both graduated from college, they work in engineering and finance.
Steve Melen
Steve Melen has more than 28 years of experience in the financial services industry. Half of that was spent working at Charles Schwab as a financial advisor and senior fixed income specialist on the Bond Trading floor working with ultra high net worth clients and corporations in and around Silicon Valley. Focusing on corporate and muni bonds along with structured products and alternative investments for multi generational clients. After leaving Schwab, Steve spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley with these same high net worth clients continuing to build on the decades long relationships. Having maintained these relationships, Steve joined NICH Capital in 2021 looking to leverage both Marty’s and Steve’s experiences to give an even higher quality of service and performance.
Mr. Melen currently lives in Marin County with his wife, Tanya, and two high school children. Having survived a normally terminal bout with stomach cancer since 2008, Steve gives much of his spare time mentoring newly diagnosed stomach cancer patients get through the incredibly difficult initial challenges. Highlight of the year is attending Stomach Cancer Advocacy day on Capitol Hill in DC speaking with Senate and Congress members raising awareness and funding for Stomach Cancer.
Golfing, skiing and many other outdoor activities fill up any remaining free time enjoying life.
Dave Halling
David Halling has 25+ years experience in the financial services business in a variety positions. DAVE HALLINGHis career started in 1989 where he met Mr. Briesach while working at Charles Schwab and Company. Over the next two and a half decades he worked in a variety of positions, including operations, equity and fixed income trading/sales and several management positions. In addition to working at Charles Schwab and Company, his experience also includes firms such as Key Bank, Oppenheimer and DA Davidson. Fixed income sales and trading has been his primary focus and has been invaluable in assisting his clients in managing their fixed income portfolios. Currently, David is studying for his CFP and marketing trust and estate planning services for a trust company.
David currently resides in Washington State with his two daughters, Clara and Christina. He is actively involved in their education and the family enjoys many activities in the Pacific Northwest.
